3 ingredients Microwave mochi in 5 minutes

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup mochiko flour

Optional:

  • 2 drops red food coloring
  • Matcha powder
  • 2 tbsps Kinako flour Japanese soybean flour for topping/ dusting

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a microwave-safe bowl, mix well and microwave for 1 minute
  • The side is partially cooked and the middle is liquidy. Mix well and microwave for 30 seconds
  • Microwave and mix for 30 seconds for 2 more times until you get a thick and semi-transparent dough
  • (Optional) separate the dough into 3 parts:
    Pink Mochi: add 2 drops of red food coloring to 1 part and mix wel
    Green Mochi: add a little matcha powder to another part and mix well.
  • Let the dough cool down for 3 minutes or until it is cool enough for you to touch
  • Dust the work surface with Mochiko flour or Kinako flour and cut the dough into quarter size.
  • Dust the mini dough with flour, and roll it into balls.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings like kinako flour, Oreo, soy cream milk tea and more
