Singaporean Laksa Rice with a soft steamed egg

Ingredients
  

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice
  • 6 prawns
  • 3 fish balls
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 4 tofu puffs cut in half
  • Optional 1/2 cup white beech mushroom

Prawns and marinate

  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • ½ tsp Shiao Xing Wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ginger powder

Soup Base:

  • cup water
  • cup coconut milk
  • ½ pack Laksa paste

Instructions
 

  • Mix soup base ingredients in a bowl
  • Wash 1 cup of rice and add them to the pot
  • Clean, devein, dry, and marinate prawns
  • Add all ingredients on top of the rice
  • Add soup base and add 1-2 eggs to the steamer
  • Cover the lid and turn on the cooker to regular rice mode
  • Take out the eggs and put them in a cold water bath after 10 mins (soft runny egg) may cook to your desire.
  • Once the machine beeps and everything is cooked, mix them, and enjoy!
